Specialized contact lens

Clear, comfortable vision tailored to your eyes

Professional contact lens fittings ensure your lenses are safe, effective, and perfectly suited to your lifestyle. Every eye is unique — and we treat yours that way.

Why It Matters

Why a professional contact lens fitting is essential

A proper fitting is far more than picking a brand or style. Your cornea has a unique shape and size, and your tears have their own chemistry. Lenses must match your eyes perfectly to deliver clear vision and lasting comfort.

Your Options

Types of contact lenses we offer

There’s no one-size-fits-all solution. We help you explore the right option for your eyes, vision needs, and lifestyle.

Soft Contact Lenses

Comfortable and widely popular. Correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism with ease.

Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP)

Allow more oxygen to reach your eye and may provide sharper vision. Sometimes used to slow myopia progression.

Disposable Lenses

Worn daily, weekly, or monthly then replaced. Ideal for children, teens, and allergy sufferers.

Extended Wear Lenses

Designed for day-and-night use over several days. Regular cleaning still required for safety.

Toric Lenses

Specially shaped for astigmatism. Stabilized to stay in the correct position on your eye.

Multifocal Lenses

Correct both near and distance vision without bifocals. Perfect for presbyopia.

Personalized Fit

Your lifestyle shapes your lens choice

How you live directly impacts which lenses will feel most comfortable and perform best for you.

Computer Users

Screen time causes dryness. We recommend lenses designed to reduce strain and maintain comfort all day.

Athletes

Need lenses that stay stable during movement and physical activity without slipping or shifting.

Allergy Sufferers

Daily disposables reduce irritation by eliminating the buildup of allergens on lens surfaces.

Children & Teens

May benefit from myopia-control lenses that slow vision changes during their growing years.

Adults 40+

Multifocal lenses reduce dependence on reading glasses for both near and distance vision.

Style Seekers

Colored lenses let you enhance or change your eye color while correcting your vision.

Technology

Advanced diagnostics for precision fittings

Modern contact lens fittings go beyond basic measurements. At Foley Vision Center, we use cutting-edge diagnostic tools to ensure accuracy, safety, and comfort.

The result: Custom lenses for irregular corneas, high prescriptions, and complex vision needs—delivered faster and more comfortably than ever.

Maintenance

Proper care keeps your eyes healthy

Even the best-fitting lenses won’t feel right without proper care. Following your doctor’s instructions prevents infections and maintains clear vision.

Essential Care Tips:

  • Wash and dry your hands before handling lenses
  • Use only approved lens solution — never water or saliva
  • Replace lenses on the schedule your doctor recommends
  • Remove lenses before sleeping, unless designed for overnight wear
  • Store lenses in a clean case and replace the case every few months
  • Never reuse old solution — always use fresh solution daily

Improper care can lead to: Bacterial growth, infections, corneal ulcers, and serious discomfort. Our team will show you the correct cleaning method for your specific lens type during your fitting appointment.

Follow-Up Care

Regular checkups catch problems early

Your eyes and vision change over time — and so does the way your lenses fit. That’s why follow-up visits are just as important as your initial fitting.

Confirm the Fit

Make sure your lenses are positioned correctly and moving properly on your eye.

Check for Issues

Screen for redness, swelling, infection, or other signs of problems you might not notice.

Update Your Prescription

Small changes in your vision are caught and corrected before they affect your comfort.

Recommendation: We suggest annual contact lens exams for most patients. More frequent visits may be needed if you have dry eyes, allergies, or certain health conditions. Many patients don’t notice when their lenses stop fitting well — regular exams catch small issues before they become big problems.
