Dr. Matthew Foley, O.D., is the owner and lead optometrist at Foley Vision Center, where he brings over 20 years of experience in eye care to patients in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. A proud graduate of the New England College of Optometry in Boston (Beta Sigma Kappa honors, Class of 2003), Dr. Foley has dedicated his career to cutting-edge vision care with a special focus on advanced dry eye treatments.
Before earning his doctorate, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and also attended Northeastern University. His journey in eye care began in 1997, and since then, he has remained committed to staying ahead of technological advancements in optometry and patient care.
A Newburyport native and 1991 graduate of Newburyport High School, Dr. Foley finds balance outside the office by spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee, Maudslay State Park, Plum Island, and Hampton Beach. He has a heart for helping kids, was a foster parent for many years, and is a passionate advocate for rescue animals. A tech enthusiast at heart, he’s always exploring new innovations to enhance both his personal life and patient care.

Scott is the first friendly face you’ll see when you come in for your appointment. He is the jack-of-all-trades at Foley Vision Center and has been in the industry for many years! He began his career in eye care in 1988. His knowledge, experience, and kindness are qualities our patients appreciate when selecting glasses or ordering contact lenses.
As a trained Optometric Technician, Jonathan is happy to guide each patient through different eye and vision tests while learning how to use the newest equipment at Foley Vision Center. He is a 23-year-old graduate from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in Communications.
Chelsea is an experienced optician who loves helping people feel confident and cared for. She’s hardworking, creative, and enjoys building connections with others. Outside of work, you’ll usually find her cooking, crocheting, or out enjoying a ride on the back of a motorcycle.
Trevor is a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from UMass Lowell, and is certified as a personal trainer. He is from Newburyport, MA and enjoys hanging out with friends, watching sports, and working directly with patients in healthcare!
As a 23-year-old Optometric Assistant, he helps support the doctors and staff while ensuring patients have a smooth and comfortable experience. Ryan is a graduate from the University of Alabama, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in News Media.
Customer service pro by day, professional “mom detective” by night. I love helping people, listening, and making sure customers leave happy. I also happen to be a mom, which means I can solve problems, multitask, and find missing socks like it’s a full-time job. When I’m not working, I’m watching Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra for peace… or at least trying to.
